Having grown up on the outskirts of London, Casey Spillman’s sound perfectly recreates a combination of sounds the city is renowned for. His musical journey began when listening to the likes of the DMZ Crew and various other early reggae and jungle influenced dubstep artists. Working out his way around production software, keyboards and turntables was combined with his influences and introduced him into the world of creation.
Fast forward a few years and with a couple of gigs under his belt and a number of releases put out, his work in the studio blossomed, allowing his signature sound to be heard around the world, played by industry leaders. His dedication to making music is as standout as the music itself, and very quickly his seemingly endless pool of music started getting signed to labels which gave him the growth he deserved.
Focussing energy into his 'Flavourz' series put Casey in the spotlight even more so, taking Bandcamp by storm as well as many a dance floor going wild for the skippy yet driving percussion and ruminating basslines. It was around this time that his relationship with the FUSE Camp was sparked, and he began to represent a younger generation of their artists, making appearances at a number of their events as well as celebrating the release of his debut EP on the Infuse imprint entitled 'Adore and Endure Each Other', a nod to the brands second home Village Underground.
Casey's infinite folders of music continued to grow, and the time presented itself for him to create a reality of something dreamt up and vigorously planned through the years. Temperature was born, a label depicting both cool and fiery sides of his productions on either side of the record.
There’s no messing with Casey Spillman's sound, from a studio perspective or on a dance floor, and only the tip of the iceberg has been visible thus far.
